The verdict? It’s pretty damn entertaining.
Maybe it’s just me, but I have a feeling that I wasn’t the only one that was pleasantly surprised by this show. I haven’t read the manga, so I had no idea what to expect other than the brief synopsis. So I decided to give the pre-stream of the first episode a try, and found Maria Holic to be a solid comedy with that off-beat style only SHAFT can do. I encourage anyone with nothing to do during the winter season to dive into Mari Holic, and give it a chance, because as this show will teach us, there is always more to some things, than meets the eye. Ahem…

Excited? Not really, but this season still has some potential
With many shows from the fall season coming to an end, the winter season is all ready to go into full swing. But whether its because I’ve been getting busier these days, or maybe I’m just not as enthusiastic as before, I’m just not feeling the winter season this time around. Nothing truly jumps out at me, but all the same, I have a gut feeling some of the shows will be big hits. So here are some first impressions, and some quick thoughts on the upcoming winter season.

Fuck, there goes another 2 months of my life down the drain…
DJ Max Portable Black Square is a music video game published and developed by Pentavision in South Korea for the Playstation Portable. Unlike DJ Max Clazziquai Edition, this game is far more difficult, and aimed at hardcore fans of the series. The series ALWAYS has some of the best art around, gathering talents from both Korea, and Japan. The music is some of the best in rhythm games, so it’s always a pleasure to listen through these OSTs.
Personal Opinion: Just as good if not better than Clazziquai edition. This OST really has it all, and not to mention some of the most well produced tracks out of the DJ Max series. For anyone who is looking for a OST with a wide variety of style’s and genres, you should definitley check this one out. You won’t be disappointed! There also a special remix CD that contains new mixes of all the head tracks. That’s 4 CD’s in one download. GOOD stuff!~So for those who are wondering where the OST is, I’ve done the honor of uploading it myself. Go ahead and enjoy it, I know I am.
Youtube PV’s:
Heart of Witch
Colors of Sorrow
Get Down
Shoreline
Fury
The Proposed, Flower, Wolf Part II
Honeymoon
RECOMMENDED songs in RED

Huray! The goddess returns! Well technically she didn’t go anywhere… but it’s nice to know she’ll be back in tip-top form
All is well with the manga-ka of kannagi, and after surgery, she seems well, and will return to her work when she recovers fully. Great news, I wish the manga-ka a smooth recovery.

For those who are wondering, the artist is Capura Lin. One of my favorites~
This news is actually pretty old in hindsight, since they announced this nearly a year ago, but check out Sankaku Complex for more details anyway. Late news is still news to some. The name of the project is Musou Kakyou, and is to be distributed as DVD’s at the upcoming comiket for 2,800 yen featuring an OST and other various goodies. Just know that although the project is under the care of a doujin studio, there are some big name seiyuu’s that will be lending their talent for this historic event. The animation and production work will be done by, Maikaze Studios. Haven’t heard of em? Neither have I…^-^ Go on over to their homepage for more details. http://maikaze.com/

Late news is late, but it’s still news…
Taken from MAL news.
According to Comic REX magazine, Takenashi Eri’s manga “Kannagi” will be withheld from publication for some while due to the ill health of the author. It’s unknown when the manga will resume publication.

How I love thee, my dear Minorin~, and Taiga too!~
I happened to stumble across Megami 103, and Megami Creators 13 on an outing a few weeks back, and I heartfuly picked up both issues. The total price was 20 dollars, not bad eh? Christmas season is in, and you know what that means. Ripping a hole in your wallet big enough to fit in a small hippo. Don’t think too much about that analogy, it doesn’t actually make sense. I’m just a wee bit too happy, I had no idea megami 103 came with a Toradora poster, so lucky me.
Hurray for moe consumerism!

One might have already guessed, but photography, image editing, and most things that have to do with multimedia is not my field of expertise. I’ve been using a camera-phone for most of my posts, and obviously as a result, most of my images lack quality. So now that I have acquired a digital camera, you would expect the quality of the images to increase right? Well, right. The pics I took today of lovely goddess Horo are far superior to any of the other figurine reviews I have previously done, but with that said, I still need some advice, and some help on how to get the best out of my new digital camera. Some advice on how to optimize images on photoshop would also be helpful. Also helpful tips on scanning, would be doubly helpful.
With that said, let’s get on with the review! Remember, don’t hound me for not bringing in A+ material to the game, I’m still relatively new to digital photography, and if the images appear to be sub-standard, please bear with me. I’m still learning how to use this new beast.
