After a long while, I’m finally going to update my haul of new anime merchandise. I’ll be slowly reviewing each item as the days go by. I’ll be doing an in-depth review for one item each day. So be expecting a more detailed posts on various artbooks and figurines as the days go by. Otherwise, be amazed at how I don’t have a life…T~T

Clannad ~After Story~:Anticipation

Clannad ~AS~ deserves all the hype its getting…it really does.

I have made a very difficult decision. I have decided not to watch Clannad as it would normally air, but I will wait an additional 3 weeks to see it in a widescreen aspect ratio. In my opinion watching Clannad in 4:3 seems like a crime, so I’ll wait it out, and enjoy Clannad in the screen size it was meant to be watched on. So as I torture myself while I wait for the widescreen version of Clannad ~AS~ To be released in a few weeks, Let’s take a moment to look at the OP and the ED of the new season of Clannad. Actually just the OP, cause there is something I would like to address about the ED.

First of all. The new OP is epic on a scale that is so awesome, I actually got goosebumps when the chorus comes in. A HUGE, HUGE, improvement over the first opening. Not to diss Eufonius, but Lia in my opinion is unmatched. Everything, and ANYTHING she sings is fucking gold. I nominate the new OP of Clannad as one of the greats, the animation, the music, the atmosphere, we are talking really classy stuff here folks. While it may not be one of the best OP’s of all time, the emotions and the values associated with it really draws you in. At least for fans of the show. The OP gets an A+ for being fucking awesome. The new OP JUST might be better than Tori no Uta. MAYBE.
